Ordering a 2022 Chevrolet Corvette? Start here!

It’s been a long time coming, but the 2022 Chevrolet Corvette is finally on its way to Australia. Here’s an insight into what colours and specifications you could have on your car.


A lot has changed since Holden first announced it would begin importing the 2022 Chevrolet Corvette to Australia two years ago. Namely, Holden is gone. However, GMSV is forging ahead with plans to have the 2022 Corvette here by the end of the year.

Buoyed by the arrival of right-hand-drive cars in Europe, Australian Corvette diehards won’t have too much longer to wait before cars start to be driven around local roads.

Initial pricing and specification details have been announced for the five-strong local line-up, though what we still don’t know is the full gamut of colour combinations that will be on offer on Australian orders.

What we do know is the Corvette can be had in the 2LT variant (coupe and convertible), 3LT variant (coupe and convertible), and the special edition Carbon Edition coupe.

2022 Chevrolet Corvette Australian pricing

  • Corvette 2LT Coupe – $144,990
  • Corvette 2LT Convertible – $159,990
  • Corvette 3LT Coupe – $160,500
  • Corvette 3LT Convertible – $175,500
  • Corvette Carbon Edition coupe – $189,990

Drilled-down detail on what equipment will come on these various model grades is yet to surface, though we do know that all Australian-delivered cars will benefit from the Z51 Performance package that bundles a bi-modal exhaust, adaptive suspension, larger brakes, a limited-slip differential, front splitter, rear spoiler, and more.

The aforementioned Carbon Edition scores a carbon-fibre roof, carbon-fibre interior package, special ‘trident’ design staggered alloy wheels, and colour-coded brake calipers.

Regardless of model grade, each Australian Corvette will be powered by the same 6.2-litre naturally aspirated 2LT V8 engine that sends 369kW and 637Nm to the rear wheels through an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

The 2022 Chevrolet Corvette is offered in 12 exterior colours in markets overseas, with each option predetermining what colour the interior can be. There are four base interior colour options and three seat shapes available.

Furthermore, a choice of six colours is available for the seatbelts and a range of stripe packages is on offer too.

While we're unsure whether GMSV will roll out all these options for local customers or go with a more restrained selection, we're looking forward to seeing the Corvette on Australian roads by the end of 2021.
